Our boilers are back up and running! Townsend Elementary will resume in-person instruction on Tuesday, Nov. 16th. This is for all classrooms that are NOT currently quarantining due to a past close contact exposure. See you in the morning Jayhawks!

Townsend Elem. will be virtual on Mon, Nov. 15 as a result of a heating maintenance issue. We are anticipating that we will be back to in person on Tues, Nov. 16. Chromebooks and classroom details will be sent home with your student today.

Our transportation department is short a driver for the week (Nov 8-12). We will need to consolidate the impacted bus runs into our remaining bus routes. Families should anticipate slight delays in students being picked up in the AM and students being dropped off in the PM.

Vandercook Lake Public Schools is looking to hire a full-time Social Worker. More details will be coming soon. Go Jayhawks!

Today Mrs. Johnson's 2nd grade celebrated Halloween!!! We dressed up and had a ton of fun playing Halloween BINGO, dancing to music, and parading through the gym to see our friend's costumes!!

Today in Mrs. Schulten's and Mrs. Johnson's 2nd grade, we brought to life the book "How Many Seeds in a Pumpkin" by Margaret McNamara! The kids made predictions and then actually counted how many seeds were in their pumpkins! Tons of fun had by all!!!

Yesterday the kids in Mrs. Salenbien’s class made sundials and went outside to see how the position of the sun could tell them the time of day. The sundials worked and the kids loved it!
