Our 4th and 5th graders got a visit from Jackson Orchestra to show them different types of string instruments and how to use them. Fliers for opportunities for your child to take classes will be coming home! (Even the adults had fun!)
Townsend families: please remember that the pick up/drop off lines are to let your child(ren) out of the car and drive away. Please do not park in that lane to walk your child up to the school. If you want to walk them up- use the available parking spaces. Thank you.

There is no school Monday.
There is a PTO meeting on Tuesday at 3:45 and again on Wednesday at 6 pm.
Finally- Our students will have an assembly on Friday called Bikers Against Bullies. So make sure you talk to them about what they’ve learned :)

Townsend families: now that the first week of school is over, parents will need to drop your child off at the doors. Parents will not be allowed to walk their child in the building unless approved. Thank you!

Parents- couple of reminders: The handicap parking spots are not for drop offs/pick ups. Please make sure if you do not have a handicap identification- you do not park there.
Please make sure your phone numbers and addresses are up to date in powerschool
There is no school on Friday, Aug 30 or Sept 2 in honor of Labor Day.
Students are not allowed to bring Pop, PRIME, or Energy Drinks. Gatorade and water are acceptable.
If you drop off and/or pick up your child. Just a reminder- Parents of K-2 grades will be picked up by the gym doors. 3-6 will be picked up by the west entrance (by the large playground). IF you have multiple children in the building- you will pick up all your children of the Youngest student. For example, if you have a 1st grader and a 4th grader, you will pick them up at the gym entrance.
Parents of kids who ride the bus: Your child MUST be outside waiting for the bus. Also- Parents of K-2 students: there must be an adult with your child during pick up and drop off.
Also watch your speed as you enter and exit the school property. Safety First
Townsend welcomes our future therapy dog at our assembly today!
Homecoming week is almost here! Sept 9-13! Townsend is going to support the HS by dressing up and showing our school spirit! Please see the dress up days!
Townsend Families: Reminder that the 1st Day of School is tomorrow (Wednesday) with dismissal at 11:55am. Parents are welcome to walk your child to their classrooms and wish them the best day/year ever!
