Happy birthday!

A few fun moments from our week of learning and the 100th Day of School with Mrs. Sweeney's 1st graders.

The students in Ms. Simpson's 1st & 2nd grade class learned about George Washington Carver, as part of Black History Month. Today, we used a KWL chart to help organize our thoughts about what we KNOW & what we WANT TO KNOW about Mr. Carver. We watched a video clip and then reflected on what we LEARNED. They had some great "WANT TO KNOW" thoughts!
We will learn about a new influential African American every day (or two) during the month of February.
