The Symphony Band is our High School concert and marching band.  This group is open to all interested high school students who demonstrate suitable proficiency on a band instrument.  This is a performance and competition band.  Students in the marching band are required to attend band camp the first week of August, as this is where they learn the fall halftime show.  The marching band performs at all home football games, the Vandercook Lake Marching Invitational, as well as the Jackson Holiday Parade and Memorial Day Parade.  The Symphony band is a competition band that performs concerts in December, and May as well as participates in MSBOA District Band Festival.
